Class Descriptions Aqua An invigorating water workout with minimal impact and natural resistance of the water. Paced for all exercise levels. Move Big Exercise class specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. Class objectives include increased muscular strength & flexibility, enhanced posture, develops coordination, and verbal & facial articulation. Salsa This class will build your beginner level knowledge base by focusing on foundational leading and following technique and timing. Participants will also learn the popular dances of Merengue and Bachata. SilverSneakers® CardioCircuit A heart healthy no/low impact aerobic class. The format includes use of a chair for seated or standing support, moderately intense, continuous, rhythmic aerobic choreography with intervals of resistance using hand held weights, a ball, and elastic tubing SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength A universal total body conditioning class taught with a chair for seated or standing support and with hand held weights, a ball, and elastic tubing. SilverSneakers® Yoga Stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Spinning A challenging cardio workout on Lifefitness Lemond spinning bike. Classes take place in the Spinning room. Tone and Stretch 55 minutes strength training modified for beginner to intermediate with 30 minutes of stretching, emphasizing the muscles that support your posture. Targets strength and flexibility. Hatha Yoga – A general and gentle approach to yoga, always working at your personal level. Instructors provide a variety modifications. Classes are offered in a variety of levels from Beginning to Beginning/Continuing, and Continuing. Pilates- The class focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. This class in done on a mat and takes place in the yoga room. Vinyasa Yoga Focusing our awareness on breath and body we will practice being present, moving through variations of sun salutations, inversions and backbends as well as seated and standing asanas.This class is for people who feel they are ready for a faster moving dynamic yoga practice. Zumba- Zumba fuses hypnotic latin rythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout system that will blow you away. The routines feature interval traning sessions where fast and slow rythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba!
